We invite students, professionals, and changemakers from across disciplines to come together for a transformative weekend focused on eye health. From November 7 to 9, at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) in Kaunas, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate, innovate, and create real solutions that can improve lives.
Why Eye Health?
Blindness and vision loss are not distant issues – they are real and growing challenges that affect millions of people across Europe today. Too many eye conditions are detected too late. Regular screenings are often skipped. People with visual impairments remain invisible in many areas of public life.
As a result, preventable blindness continues to rise, opportunities are lost, and quality of life is diminished for those affected.
Hospiton 2025 is dedicated to changing that.
Our Mission
This year, Hospiton focuses on vision health – bringing together medicine, technology, design, and the social sciences to co-create solutions that:
- Prevent eye diseases and support early diagnosis
- Improve treatments and patient experiences
- Empower people living with visual impairments
What to Expect
During this innovation weekend, you will:
- Work in interdisciplinary teams to tackle real-world challenges
- Receive mentorship and guidance from leading experts in healthcare, tech, and innovation
- Transform your idea into a working prototype
- Compete for prizes and potential follow-up support
- Become part of a purpose-driven community that values care, impact, and inclusion
Whether you’re a student, professional, or just passionate about making a difference – this is your chance to hack for sight, for dignity, for change.
